DePauw University's 179th Annual Commencement was held on May 20th. A total of 473 undergraduates were awarded degrees during the program, which took place in Holton Memorial Quadrangle.

On May 9, more than 300 Wesleyan students received University prizes and awards during a reception. Marlborough School Graduate Madeleine Simon Earns Dean's Award with Distinction at Colgate University
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least 3 course credits during the spring 2017 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.
Nearly 40 Ohio Wesleyan University students traveled to five sites in the United States and Mexico as part of OWU's 2018 spring break Interfaith Service week. During their trips, the teams were guided by the program's "essential pillars" of restorative justice, transformative reflection, substantive community, and conscientious leadership. The students and their faculty-staff advisers traveled to Houston and New Orleans to repair hurricane-damaged homes; to the Lakota Nation in South Dakota to help rebuild Lakota-Anglo relationships and support Native American youth; to Philadelphia to explore multiple faith traditions; and to Mexico to examine the economics of social responsibility and sustainable practices. Congratulations to all involved for a successful week of life-changing learning and service!

Forty-nine Colby students from the Classes of 2017 and 2018 were elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa this spring. Membership in the society is one of the highest academic honors an undergraduate student can achieve.
The following students from the Colgate University Class of 2014 have been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students. The approximately 150 students who received the prestigious distinction for having earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the 2010-2011 academic year were honored at a fall banquet.
